By: 👩🦳 Linda · · · 🗨 76 Comments
2013 has been an amazing year of growth for Roti n Rice. As she celebrates her 4th Blogiversary today, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your valued and continued support. I appreciate your visits day after day to read my ramblings and check out my recipes. Many thanks also for subscribing to my feed and for cheering me on at Pinterest, Facebook, Google+, and Twitter. THANK YOU!
I would also like to thank my dearest hubby, Ro-Ri San for his unconditional patience and support of my work, without which this blog will not be what it is today. He has spent many hours helping me with the props, photography, editing, taste testing, and critiquing of my recipes. Many of the beautiful dishes and props you see in the photographs are gifts from him. My two wonderful boys have also been amazingly patient and good natured with their mom for her endless photography sessions.
As the year comes to a close, I would like to line up my Top 10 Recipes of 2013. These are the most pinned, shared, and viewed recipes of 2013. As always, there are returning favorites and a few pleasant surprises…..
Simply click on the link or image to view recipe.
No. 10 – Slow Cooker Chicken and Vegetable Curry, I was delighted that a curry made it to the list.
No. 9 – Coconut Candy, an old favorite updated with new pictures in August 2012. This picture is a personal favorite.
No. 8 – Jian Dui (Sesame Seed Balls), popular from the very beginning.
No. 7 – Tang Yuan (Glutinous Rice Balls) with Red Bean Paste Filling, the very heart of the Chinese Winter Solstice Festival.
No. 6 – Pineapple Banana Smoothie, a fantastic smoothie and a real surprise it made it to Top 10!
No. 5 – Baked Eggs in Shredded Cheese and Potato Cups, a very tasty and fun recipe!
No. 4 – Slow Cooker Honey Spare Ribs, a meat lover’s delight!
No. 3 – Honey Castella, the top recipe for 2012 still holding strong. A very popular recipe in Southeast Asia.
No. 2 – Baked Spicy Garlic Potato Wedges, when garlic met potato it was truly a match made in heaven.
The No. 1 post for 2013 is Minnesota’s hometown dish – Chicken Wild Rice Soup – HIP HIP HOORAY! This dish is a Pinterest favorite with over 106,000 pins, close to 5,000 likes and shares on Facebook, and more than 120,000 pageviews here on the blog! Thank you so much for continuing to pin, like, share, view, comment, and try out this recipe.
As a small token of my appreciation for all who have visited, commented, and tried my recipes, I am giving away this much asked about Birkmann silicone cookie stamp. Similar cookie stamps are seen in these 2 posts – Shortbread Stamped Cookies and Peanut Butter Stamped Cookies. Everyone is eligible (world wide) to enter by leaving a comment on this post. A winner will be picked using a random generator on Tuesday, January 7th, 2014. All the best!
